Vinyl for the Digital Era

These enhanced pressings are highly sought after collectibles aimed at your community of super fans!

Vinylkey® bridges the gap between physical and digital, by offering an NFC chip-enabled path to unique, protected content for fans. This patent-pending technology incorporates the chip into the pressed record and connects out to the blockchain to ensure authenticity.

Early adopters have utilized these features to connect and share videos, high resolution audio (including bonus material), special merchandise, and invitations to secret shows.

FAQ

What happens “after the tap”?

The owner of the record accesses a secure website hosted on our platform that houses the exclusive content created for the release.

What types of content can be shared?

Digital downloads, tickets to special events, links to limited run merchandise.

What are the benefits of connecting to the blockchain?

Most projects incorporate the “splatter” design into the pressing package, where no two albums are exactly alike. Each unique album is cataloged with a corresponding serial number and photograph, ensuring that it has full traceability. Each owner can also register their name to a specific unit, providing additional background information.

Can I update the content?

Yes! Our platform allows for updates at any time.

Why not use a QR code?

NFCs offer a unique authentication mechanism that enhances the collectability and scarcity of products. QR codes can be easily replicated, NFC tags also offer a more secure, tamper-resistant solution.

What about retail pricing?

All releases have been premium priced and sold out in a matter of weeks. The limited run quantity combined with the content access and authentication make these a “must have” for collectors.
