MODERN MUSIC MAKING ... INSPIRED BY GHOSTS OF LEGENDS

Originally the live performance room for radio broadcasts, Studio A has been restored as a modern analog mixing and tracking room. It features a 16-channel Rupert Neve Designs 5088 console, and an impressive collection of vintage and analog outboard gear and microphones.

Studio B is Citizen Studios’ large, multi-purpose space. It features 17′ tall ceilings, an inviting mid-century lounge, and is ideal for tracking, remote broadcasts, video shoots/online performances, and podcasts.

WWNC - WONDERFUL WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA

Original to the building’s design and construction in 1939, the WWNC radio station was recognized as one of the most state-of-the art radio stations in the country … second only to RCA Studios in New York City.

Local, regional and nationally recognized musicians graced the station’s AM airwaves, performing live from Studio A.

Citizen Studios aims to celebrate this rich history through the ongoing development of new music projects, many of which will be pressed into great sounding vinyl records right here onsite. Learn more station history here.
