We love records — that's why we do what we do — and we're excited to snap up some exclusive and debut vinyl this weekend. Here's the full list of RSD releases. What are you hoping to score? Here's our wishlist:
• Gar Ragland, CEO — At The BBC: The Complete 1965 London Sets, by Bill Evans. This is the first official release of the historic Jazz 625 show at the BBC Television Theatre, Shepherd's Bush, on 19th March 1965 by the Bill Evans Trio. Transferred from the original tape reels at the BBC and restored and mastered by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab. 2xLP set
• John Lenac — Welcome To My Dream by MC 900 Ft. Jesus. This 35th anniversary expanded edition celebrates mc 900 ft. jesus’s genre-defying album with a tracklisting personally curated by mark griffin. featuring griffin’s own liner notes and early demos pressed on vinyl for the first time. Silver vinyl.
• Scott Crane — End of Asia by Ryuichi Sakamoto (Featuring Danceries). First ever global release and the first time on vinyl since its release in Japan-only in 1982, this is Ryuchi Sakamoto's modern classical masterpiece featuring unique reinterprations of his music from both Ymo and his early solo albums. Black vinyl.
• Lauren Rash, Chief Manufacturing Officer — Found Dogs by John Prine. A newly curated archival release celebrating the 30th anniversary of Lost Dogs & Mixed Blessings. Drawn from the original recording sessions and demos from the era, Found Dogs collects alternate versions, acoustic performances, and five previously unreleased tracks, Foil numbered.
• Seth Alder, Production Manager — Live At Albert Hall, Manchester by Laura Marling. The first time these live recordings have ever been made available on a physical format. this release is particularly significant as it not only includes beloved tracks from marling’s earlier catalogue but also offers a powerful, live reinterpretation of her newest work. 2xLP set.
• Brent Manning, VP Sales and Marketing — Feelin' Alright: The Complete 1975 Nancy Pulsations Concert by Freddie King. For the first time ever, experience the full power of Freddie King’s explosive 1975 performance at the Jazz Pulsations Festival in Nancy, France — a never-before-released live set that captures the Texas blues legend at his fiercest. 3xLP set.
• Alli Marshall, Communications Manager — Canyon Trilogy by R. Carlos Nakai. Hand-picked by Dhani Harrison, R. Carlos Nakai's acclaimed Canyon Trilogy is issued on vinyl for the first time. His music features original compositions for the flute inspired by traditional Native American melodies.
