Ny Oh Releases Her Debut Album Through Citizen Soundcheck
MADE WITH THE CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED PRODUCER JONATHAN WILSON (FATHER JOHN MISTY, ANGEL OLSEN, CONOR OBERST)
Worcestershire-born, New Zealand raised, LA-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ny Oh (Naomi Ludlow) has fronted jazz-psychedelic output Neon Gru and provided backing vocals on Harry Styles’s recent stadium tour.
Lately she's been at work on her debut solo album: Wildwood. One single, "Aperature," is already available on streaming platforms and YouTube and the second single, "Shine" — written in Aotearoa, where Ny was raised — comes out today (video below). Both songs echo the roots and resonance that define this magnificent debut.
Citizen Vinyl is excited to launch the exclusive vinyl and cassette pre-order campaign for Wildwood on our Citizen Soundcheck platform. This limited edition release will be pressed on beautiful Opaque Black vinyl.
Wildwood is a record of jubilant, ever-flowing wonder, with Ny Oh’s vocals soaring atop a tight-knit yet musically expansive full band set up. It is a story that begins in self-discovery, moves through love, and culminates in eagle-flight freedom — a testament to the power of patience, presence, and the profound harmony between artist and nature.
Ny has unveiled a fresh preview of the record with her new single "Shine" — a fun and richly layered, rhythm-driven track that reveals yet another facet of her artistry. The song was produced by Grammy-nominated, critically acclaimed producer Jonathan Wilson (Father John Misty, Angel Olsen, Conor Oberst), who collaborated across the entire album.
